Across the river from Tsurukawa-juku
The gravel outcrop on the opposite bank of Tsurukawa-juku is the only outcrop where almost the entire gravel layer of the Uenohara river terrace (approximately 60m) can be observed from bottom to top. The lower part of the outcrop (approximately 30m) consists of deposits from debris flows, while the upper part is predominantly composed of riverine gravel.
