The Yamanashi Uenohara Geopark Promotion Council was established to promote the Yamanashi Uenohara Geopark concept with the participation of local residents, and to promote community development activities that instill confidence and pride in the region, as well as to revitalize the area.
Would you like to join us in our efforts to protect the history and natural beauty of the land that stretches across our region and pass it on to future generations?

We will learn about and raise awareness of the town's nationally renowned geological heritage, history, culture, and natural environment, and plan and implement related projects.

We are seeking motivated organizations (corporations, school education-related groups, etc.) and individuals (elementary school age and older). As a member, you will have the opportunity to contribute in the following areas:

- Providing environmental education and hands-on programs for employees - Contributing to the creation of sustainable local communities - Outreach classes and lectures by expert guides - Training and provision of teaching materials for teachers

●Activities ①Plan exhibitions and experiential learning activities at the Geopark Museum, which is the central facility of the geopark.
② We will hold guide training courses to realize the geopark concept.
③ Plan tour menus with geo-tour guides that combine tourist resources with a "geo" perspective, such as geology and topography.
